I just got off the phone with Monica from ObesityHelp, and it seems that the May 12-13 Pittsburgh convention 

is filling up fast! If you plan on attending and haven't already registered, do so soon! Monica said that there's a 

good chance that registrations will be sold out, and this means that they will not be accepting registration at the door!

(I got my presentation in late, so my bio isn't up yet, but I will be presenting on Friday and possibly Saturday as well on Exercise 

(no matter where you are in the weight loss process), maximizing one's first year postop and breaking plateaus. Slides from my

(I am not organizing the following event - just helping to spread the message :)

The PA Pilgrimage is a gathering of pre and post-op WLS folks who just want to spend some quality time together. This is an effort to allow 

folks from all areas of the state to meet each other, share support and relax in an understanding environment! The gathering will be in 

Chambersburg, PA on June 10th at the Best Western Hotel. I was able to book 25 rooms at a reduced rate of $89 plus taxes. All expenses 

are your own. Please share rooms if possible. When the reserved rooms run out, I can't guarantee the room price or if you'll need to look to a 

nearby hotel for accomodations. You may book beginning on Friday, January 13th. Here's the info:

**Best Western-Chambersburg, PA
**Check-in June 10th at 2pm
**Check-out June 11th at 11am
**Many nearby restaurants will be contacted concerning their WLS "friendliness" and arangements will be made
**Continental breakfast included @ the hotel
**Hotel amenities include exercise area and pool
**Hotel is only one level and is non-smoking
Beginning Friday, January 13th, call 717-262-4994. Tell the hotel clerk that you are calling to reserve a room for June 10th under the "group name 

of Pennsylvania Pilgrimage". They will accept your credit card information over the phone and you will be one of the lucky ones!!! I am looking into 

nearby hotel to check and see if they will be as polite as the Best Western and offer a reduced rate of blocked rooms if we need them.
Look forward to a little (gentle) exercise, support group meetings, meals together and some other fun stuff for a whole 24 hours! All activites are up

to you to decide if you would like to participate.
